Ross Property Owners’
RPOA Members re: Creeping FAR letter to Council
Linked below is the letter the RPOA Board members sent to our Town Council relaying our concerns about increasing FAR* variances and adherence to Town Ordinances. Also included is a list of FAR variances approved in the last 19 months. In the past several months a number of residents communicated their consternation that for the past 18 months the Council has consistently approved “over 20% FAR” requests. Despite our “General Plan” citing 20% FAR, these decisions have resulted in “Creeping up FAR” in our town.
As evidenced by their decisions, our town is changing. Our intention has been to promote awareness, discussion and fair decisions about what our town is to look like.
The letter, has, in fact, prompted Council discussion. Of concern to the Board members is: fairness to homeowners, fairness to neighbors, and resident participation in decision-making about the fabric of our town now and in the future, culminating in maintenance or change to our General Plan.
Council will meet again for discussion. Please review our letter and subsequent recommendations. We would appreciate any input or comments you may have. Feel free to contact a Board member or reply to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
